GLENBROOK COUNTRYSIDE IS SURROUNDED BY ALL OF THE CONVENIENCES OF FOUR NORTH SHORE VILLAGES.
Glenbrook Countryside community, has two hundred and eighty homes and is surrounded by Glenview, Deerfield, Highland Park and Northbrook; although it continues to be a semi-rural area with homes on half acres. The most desired for country living, yet access to all neighboring cities.
Glenbrook Countryside Property Owners’ Association [GCPOA], was formed in 1953. The elected officers of the GCOPA are a volunteer Board of Directors that have meetings and keep the community informed through a newsletter, Countryside Connection and this website.
Membership dues are used for maintaining the organization; legal fees, printing and mailing newsletters, and special notices of events, in addition to having a emergency phone alert system for all residents. The Association is a registered non-profit organization in Illinois and is governed through its officers and directors under the established bylaws.
Glenbrook Countryside is divided into nine areas, each has two directors to keep residents informed. Meetings are held by the board of directors at specified times and are open to the owners/residents of Countryside. Each spring an Annual Meeting is held at which time a new slate of officers are elected.
Glenbrook Countryside residents are a part of unincorporated Cook County. Northfield Township provides Glenbrook Countryside with repair and maintenance of streets, snow removal, storm sewer repairs, street signs, country vehicle stickers and tax assessment information. Cook Country Sheriff’s Police cover our law enforcement needs and Northbrook provides our fire protection and paramedics. Glenbrook Sanitary District is responsible for our water supply, as well as maintenance and repairs to our water mains.
